Common questions
Do cameras and locks have to live in someone else’s cloud?
No. We prefer recorders, retention, and access you can explain on your network, with remote viewing that uses MFA and least privilege when you need it.
Will the house still work if the internet is down?
Local control is a design goal: lighting, access, and core automation should keep working when the WAN is out. Cloud apps are for convenience, not a single point of failure.
Can guests still use wall switches and normal controls?
Yes — that is a requirement. If a scene only exists in one phone app, we change the plan until the wall still works when the app is closed.
