We collect information you provide when you inquire, plan a project, create an account, or manage communication preferences. That typically includes:
- Contact details such as name, email, phone number, and organization.
- Site and project details you share for assessments, consultations, or quotes.
- Account preferences and service history when you use Fort Guard portals.
- SMS consent choices and related phone numbers when you opt in or out.
We also receive basic technical data needed to operate the website securely (for example request logs and anti-abuse signals). We do not sell personal information.
How it is used
We use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries and schedule assessments or consultations.
- Prepare proposals, plans, and project delivery documentation.
- Manage customer accounts, support requests, and service communications.
- Send SMS updates only when you have opted in.
- Improve reliability, security, and clarity of our services.
We do not use your project information to build advertising profiles or sell it to data brokers.
Retention & security
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including warranty, support, accounting, and legal obligations. When retention is no longer required, we delete or de-identify records through ordinary operational processes.
We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including access controls and encrypted transport for web and API traffic. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure; if we become aware of an incident that affects your information, we will take steps required by applicable law.
Your choices
Under Canadian privacy law (including PIPEDA), you may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you, subject to limited exceptions. You can also update communication preferences at any time.

SMS updates about projects and accounts are optional. Consent is not required to purchase or use Fort Guard services. Message frequency varies by project. Message and data rates may apply.

Full privacy and regulatory details
Fort Guard Technologies handles personal information in accordance with PIPEDA and applicable provincial requirements. Commercial electronic messages are handled under CASL. Where Quebec’s Law 25 applies to residents of Quebec, we take additional care with confidentiality, retention, and privacy rights requests.
SMS programme details: Fort Guard may send recurring project and account texts after opt-in. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Carrier liability is not accepted for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent records are retained to demonstrate compliance.
